A 26-year-old TikTok crypto influencer was abducted and assaulted in Essonne, France, by four men demanding a ransom in cryptocurrency. The kidnappers released him upon realizing his wallet lacked the €50,000 they sought. This incident highlights a surge in ''wrench attacks'' targeting crypto holders across France.

French MP Paul Midy has proposed legislation to shield public crypto figures by restricting access to their residential addresses in official records. The draft law, submitted to the National Assembly, aims to curb attackers'' ability to exploit public data for locating victims. If enacted, it WOULD mark a significant step in safeguarding the crypto community from physical threats.
